Crıtıcal Infrastructure Defense Challange 2023

Within the scope of the Critical Infrastructure Defense Challenge event held in Azerbaijan, ‘Cyber Warfare’ competitions were organized. The competition and technical training sessions at the event were undertaken by the Cyber Security Think Tank Blackbox Security. In the CIDC-2023 event, a Capture The Flag (CTF) competition was held, simulating cyber attacks, and teams were tasked with identifying vulnerabilities. In the competition where twenty teams reached the finals, Socar, Azercell, and the Azerbaijan Presidential Security Service took the first three places.

The Deputy Director General of the Azerbaijan State Special Communication and Information Security Agency, Major General Allahveran Ismayilov, and the Head of the State Security Service Cyber Security Center, Davud Rustamov, presented a plaque to Kürşat Oğuzhan Akıncı, the chairman of BlackBox Security, in recognition of his contributions to the organization of the conference.

CIDC-2023

In an interview with the Azerbaijan State News Agency (Azertac), Kürşat Oğuzhan Akıncı, the General Manager of Blackbox Security, stated, ‘Here, we are configuring the courses and the competitive environment. The first day has already concluded. I would like to emphasize that the event has taken place at an exceptionally high level. Currently, both training sessions and the ‘Cyber Warfare’ competition are ongoing in CIDC 2023. Participants are engaging in quizzes using ‘QR’ codes on screens at the ‘Cyber Solutions’ exhibition, answering various questions, and have the opportunity to win prizes. Currently, 60 participants are in competition.
