The opening ceremony of the event will be attended by Major General Ilgar Musayev, the Head of the State Agency for Special Communication and Information Security, Brigadier General Ali Nagiyev, the Head of the State Security Service, and Taleh Kazimov, the President of the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Also present at the opening ceremony will be Tahir Mirkishili, Member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Chairman of the National Assembly Committee on Economic Policy, Industry, and Entrepreneurship. Speeches will be delivered by Orkhan Mammadov, Samir Mammadov, Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transportation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Deputy General Director of Azerconnect, and Bakhtiyar Aslanbeyli, Vice President – President of External Relations and Communications at BP for the Caspian Region.

As part of the event, for the first time in Azerbaijan, 20 IT teams consisting of 3-5 members from government institutions, critical infrastructure, banks, and telecommunications organizations will compete in a virtual war through a cyber attack simulation over a period of 2 days. The winning team on the final day will be awarded a prize of 30,000 manats.

Throughout the event, organizers have planned 10 presentations, 5 panels, and 6 free training sessions on information security. All participants will have the opportunity to visit the cybersecurity solutions exhibition, participate in virtual competitions, and win prizes.

It is important to note that the Cyber Festival is organized to enhance the experience, knowledge, and skills of employees in public institutions, critical infrastructure, finance, and the telecommunications sector in the field of information security, as well as to strengthen networking and coordination between the public and private sectors.
