DJI has introduced the Air 3S, an upgraded version of the Air 3 drone, aimed at enhancing low-light photography and ease of use. The main camera features a 50MP Type 1 sensor paired with a 24mm F1.8 lens, improving image quality. The telephoto camera remains unchanged with a 48MP sensor. Both cameras can record 4K video at 120fps, with advanced color modes.

New flight features include forward-facing LiDAR and Nightscape Obstacle Sensing, ensuring safer navigation at night. The drone’s Smart Return-to-Home and enhanced subject tracking offer improved control and convenience during flight.

Additionally, a Free Panorama mode allows users to stitch images into wide shots, while the drone’s enhanced transmission system supports 10-bit video streaming with minimal file size. Privacy-conscious users will appreciate the new Local Data mode, which disconnects the drone from the internet.

Weighing just 724g, the Air 3S is capable of 45 minutes of flight time and includes 42GB of internal storage. It is available in different packages, including a Fly More combo with extra batteries and accessories for $1,599.

This makes the Air 3S an appealing option for travelers and drone enthusiasts looking for improved low-light performance and advanced safety features.
